Girl Gamer - Explanation

This blog post is to elaborate each scene of my video, Girl Gamer, to help my viewers that don't quite understand the video in my point of view. Like.. directors notes that explain more about the content of a movie. :)

When I make a video, I have this silly idea in my head that all the viewers will be able to understand what I'm trying to say or express. It has hit me that this isn't so. There is always extreme exaggeration to things to add to the comedy, but some people just take it so seriously.

Let's just get straight to the point. :)

Gamer Girl focuses on ditsy, airheaded girls who thinks she's the best at everything; thinks she's a hardcore gamer, has to mention that she's a gamer girl all the time when it comes to topic, has to mention her gender.
The other characters in the video don't represent true/hardcore gamers or the title of the video. They're just there to aid Gamer Girl's character. I repeat, this video only focuses on the ditsy sounding one.

Scene 1 - The Intro.
"I'm a simple girl who loves fashion and GAMES. Yep, a combination of fashion and GEEK. Isn't that just AWESOME?!?! HA! I am such a nerd~!"

In this little profile, she mentions geek related stuff four times. GAMES, GEEK, AWESOME (exaggeration how awesome it is that she loves games and how geeky she is) and then saying she's a NERD.
It's nice to read profiles to get to know the person more but when for example, she has to express how much she loves games or how everything is the best game in the world or  how much nerd-ness she has in her, is that really necessary? In another point of view, I just read it as 'fake nerd.'
A simple statement would've done justice, "I love fashion and games."

Scene 2 - Showing off Gamecube
Gamecubes are cool. I enjoyed playing Super Smash Brothers Melee on it, which was one of the two Gamecube games I owned. <3  I wish I had monies back then to buy more Nintendo games..

Anyway this scene should be easy to understand. Two players playing Pokémon (note that I mention 'players', because they could've been a boy and a girl, or two boys, but I wasn't bothered to dress up as a boy) and then 'Gamer Girl' comes in showing off a Gamecube, which she doesn't ever play, but only uses it for taking photos with, which if so, is obviously for the attention.

Scene 3 - Camwhore pics on Facebook with controllers
It's not that obvious, but this kind of leads on from scene 2. Gamer Girl, with sarcasm, says she loves games. She posts pictures as proof that she plays them, but she actually doesn't.

Scene 4 - iPhone Games
Gamer Girl mentions she plays lots of iPhone games. In my opinion, I don't think phone games makes one a true gamer. Phone games aren't a hobby. It's just there to pass time when you're bored at work or on public transport.

Scene 5 - "Go easy on me, coz I'm a girl"
In this scene, I can confirm that I wanted to play as two different girls, unlike Scene 2.
There isn't a specific game they're playing but one can assume its a fighting game. Gamer Girl says:  "Go easy on me, coz I'm a girl"  which is silly because she's playing against a girl as well. (and the bit where Gamer Girl goes "Oooh~!" was just a little extra bit, as a girly reaction to something that has happened on screen)

Scene 6 - Button Bashing Girl Gamer
Note, so far, in almost every scene one way or another, there would be some reference of Gamer Girl mentioning or showing that she's a girl. I didn't do it in this scene because I forgot to, but the viewer has to assume that it's included anyway. :)

Gamer Girl and a player are playing a fighting game, Dead or Alive 5 to be exact. Gamer Girl wins because she button bashes (and I play this very exaggeratedly  and not enabling the other player able to make their move and so, laughs hysterically and calls the other player a 'noob' because they couldn't do anything. She feels elite and sexy; her posture and body language (curving her back and raising her chest) shows this to the viewer. I wanted the viewer to watch that and think thast instead of her saying '"I'm a girl, and I just beat you!",  it can be read through her body language. I also wanted the viewer to think, "This fake gamer thinks she's so top when all she did was rape that controller! She doesn't deserve to call herself a true gamer!"

Scene 7 - Tweeting about game
Not much to explain about this one. Gamer Girl tweets about an 'awesome' game, and from her tweet, we think that she has played the game.  In fact, she hadn't even begun playing yet. All she did was watch an introduction.

Scene 8 - Gamer Girl Status
I should have chosen a different game to say instead of Pokémon. Like, My Little Ponies or something. Because Pokémon's too good <3 Anyway, what's done is done.

So Gamer girl is playing Pokémon and shouts out, #GamerGi1rLlllL000ve. in which her friend replies, "Isn't that the only game you play?" This may be elitist of me, that a couple of people have pointed out, but I don't think playing one game makes you a true gamer. I've play Pokémon since Yellow, and it's one of the two games I play religiously, but I don't consider myself a gamer. Just a big fan of Pokémon.

Scene 9 - More Girl Expressing.
The final scene shows us Gamer Girl talking rubbish game speech that doesn't really make sense and then she expresses with her soul and passion that she's a Gamer Girl. The joke -then comes a Jewish guy claiming he likes to play games and says he's a Jew Gamer. I want the viewer to think, if gender can be brought into the gaming community, why not religion?  I chose Judism for a quick and easy phrase. 'Buddhist Gamer, Christian Gamer, Muslim Gamer etc, it's a moutful. Jew Gamer, is catchy xD
There have been a couple of people who think I'm being anti-Semitic. How? Just because I dressed up like that? I wanted to make myself look like the typical Orthodox Jew, use clothes that I have available in my wardrobe and a face prop that makes me look different. But in no way am I hating on Jews. I didn't make jokes about them or said anything that people would usually associate with them. There are so many stereotype jokes and parodies and they are much, much worser than me dressing up as an Orthadox Jewish man saying "I like games."

There have been a few comments saying that this video is so extreme and that it will scare those who want to enter the gaming community away. I have to disagree. I replied to those comments, not in these exact words but something along the lines of,

"I think this society is strong. If you love doing whatever it is you love doing, continue. Go for it. Don't let anybody stop you. Look at 'weaboos' and 'wannabe asians'. Most of them are girls who look fragile and would break at the sight of the word 'weaboo' but no, man. They're so hardcore; nothing's stopping them. I actually respect that factor despite so many people shoving negativity in their faces.

People need to stop giving a crap about what others think.
.

.

I hope this entry makes sense and has opened up your mind just that little bit more and helped with any misunderstandings. If there is anything else you'd like to know of my opinion, leave a comment. There will be those stubborn people who refuse to take in what I say like this hardcore feminist gamer girl that I came across, but that's cool. xD

Thanks! ^^

Hyper Japan Haul :3

I'm two months late to even write about this but I thought I'd do it anyway because I feel like to write something on my oh-so-dusty-blog. Also, tidying up my oh-so-dusty room and finding stuff I got from Hyper Japan made me want to show you guys my little haul!

Hyper Japan was definitely a wallet burner but luckily I knew a couple of people at the stalls so you can guess that I got a good price for my purchases ;B

My friend was selling Japanese kitkats!! Look how small and cute they are!
Sweet potato, blueberry cheesecake and sakura matcha flavours!

Yes, taken with my iPhone because I was lazy to do it with my proper camera. xD

I also got chocolate for my friend, Haz, because the packaging had a Japanese model on it called Rola, and he loves her! I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy Rola chocolate! Where else can you buy this shiz?! :3

Image from Haz's facebook without asking for his permission HAHAHAHA <3 :3

GIF attack!! To make you jealous and wish you had these cute chocolates.

Sushi Noms was the name of the stall where I got these awesome chocolates!

This is a cute plushie called Marshmawwo. That's pronounced: MARSH-MA-WHOA!
The colour and squishiness of it reminds me of marshmallows that I feel like to eat her! That sounds SO WRONG.. (o_o")

I received these free Yu-Gi-Oh cards by playing it with my friend Yami at her stall because she wanted me to attract people to come to the stall LOL!
I dunno what to do with them because I don't play Yu-Gi-Oh!

This is a body scrub thing. I usually use small Korean Italy towels but this one is longer so I can easily scrub my back with it!

That's it from me! Keep up to date by subscribing to my Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/Annchirisu
and watch out for my vlog where I shall be making you guys jealous and eating these Japanese kitkats with glee. :3

Oh. My. DOUBLE. GOTS!! Again, I have neglected this blog hardcore and I apologise to those who do enjoy reading my blog and have been wondering why the fxck I'm not updating my shxt!  I can't believe I've left this blog to collect e-dust since August..

To start off, HAPPY DECEMBER!
December is the time of the month, and I don't mean a bloody beaver, where family and friends are probably the most happiest. I hope everybody is having a great time with their family and friends leading up to Christmas and receivng lots of gifts! GIFTS ARE AWESOME! And I will talking about gifts later in this entry.

Ok let's get to the topic!
Firstly, I would like to thank PinkyParadise for sponsering me with these lenses!
PinkyParadise is the most known and most popular site to buy circle lenses from because they stock like, every single circle lens brand and design there is!

I decided to blog about it instead of doing the usual video review, because I feel like I'd be repeating myself from my last lens vlog and I don't want to bore my viewers with the same thing.

I'm going to jump straight into showing you guys pictures of me wearing the lenses and not bother showing you pictures of how the packaging was and blablabla because I can just say, PinkParadise package their products safely so it doesn't smash or anything!

Oh wait, let me do a bit of dis:

I chose these lenses for my Meroko Yui - Full Moon wo Sagashite cosplay because I love how vibrant the pink is.

I've looked at the other pink lenses from other manufactures and the photos of the models, and it seems these Crystal Pink lenses are the only ones that highlights the pink this dynamically! In my opinion, they don't look natural because there's no limbal ring, which natural eyes have.  It is what I aimed for anyway, because I wanted my eyes to look as anime/cartoony like as possible. It is for cosplay after all. :P
They're super comfortable; I could wear them for quite a while. Do I need to even mention the enlargement?  You can see quite clearly how enlarging these lenses are.

Overall, I think they are a little scary looking because my dark hair and light skin just make these lenses pop and I'm actually surprised at how striking they are, especially on my dark, brown eyes! These lenses are perfect for characters with dark pink eyes and they definitely live up to the name. Look how crystally and sparkly they make my eyes look!
IT'S SO SPARKLY, I'M GONNA DIE. <3

Moving on! These circle lenses are called: (Dueba/Barbie) G & G Dreamy I Blue

Taken infront of my huge windows. DEM LIMBAL RINGS.

Away from the window; natural lighting of my room and dey still be popping!

And some more flash to blind your face with my hairy skin!

Star ratings just because.

I chose these blue lenses for my Queen's Blade - Alleyne cosplay, because not only is it blue, but the name attracted me to get these lenses. DREAMY! It matched the description of Alleyne's eyes. SO DREAMY LOOKING.
..But they didn't arrive on time so I had to make do with my Adult Green lenses I used for my Lightning cosplay.

These blue lenses aren't exactly the same colour as Alleyne's blue eyes. Hers are slightly navy-blue-grey, whatever that bloody colour is! I couldn't find ones exactly like her eye colour without the lenses looking too dark from far away. I don't like wearing coloured lenses that look too dark from afar. I want people to be able to see from a distance that I'm wearing a certain colour because I'm anal like that. These Dream Blue lenses were close enough and definitely look striking from a distance!
After a few hours however, the comfort starts to die out. They start to feel a bit dry and so I can only wear these for a maximum of 5 hours.

THERE YOU HAZ IT! Two reviews on two different lenses. I hope these reviews are helpful if you want to buy them for cosplay or general wear.

As I mentioned in the post earlier, I am now gonna talk about gifts! Well, it's more of a GIVEAWAY!!

Well, actually it is a competition.

Golden Collagen Eye Mask

Oh my gots. I've neglected this blog hardcore. I am sorry to those who enjoy reading, that I haven't been able to update, mainly because most of my supporters enjoy watching the animated me instead of words produced by me.

Like everyone, I like to look at myself in the mirror and examine my face and body. . .
Indeed, that sounded like how it was supposed to sound and there's nothing wrong with examining -that- area. :) However, I'm not going to talk about that in this entry.

My forehead is gently telling me that I am getting older and my skin is losing its elasticity. Oh, how I wish I was like Luffy from One Piece, then I'd never have to worry about getting wrinkly. *Sigh.*
I've been surfing the Interwebz for some facial masks --ASIAN facial masks to be exact because Asian products are the way forward, and I came across XiaXue's latest blogpost about a black face mask. Upon reading that, she linked readers to the site where these masks can be purchased and I've added a few items to my basket for future purchase because my wallet is in pain right now. :'(

I noticed at the corner of my desk, a product I had received from Shoppingholics.com as a free gift, that I have never used before.

Osmej Golden Collagen Eye Mask!

I thought I'd try it, since I'm digging and delving a bit deeper into skin care as I fail to take care of it. If you have been following me long enough, you will know that I have mentioned in the past about my hereditary hollow troughs and dark circles around my eyes. It is impossible for one to get rid of the hollows under their eyes unless fat is injected there by surgery. If I had the money, I would do it, because I'm tired of looking exhausted and ill all the time without make up.

Yes, this is how I usually look without make up. Crappy quality from my phone. XD How upset I look..
Oh and those puffy things aren't eye bags. Those are my happy-smiling-fat, or in Korea, it's know as 'aegyo sal'. Did you know that some Koreans would even go through the extent to inject fat under the eyes to get that happy-smiling-eye-fat?! Just to look cute?! xD

So, this product claims its 'Like an energy drink for your eyes

Here's a better picture of me, without any make up and with the eye mask on. It feels like jelly and sticks to your skin without leaving any mess, plus it has great absorption!
I forgot to take a 'before' picture without the eye  mask on but you can get an idea of how dark the dark areas around my eyes are from the crappy quality picture above. ><"

After leaving the eye mask on for 20 minutes, I thought to place it onto my eyelids to see if there's any brightening on my upper eye area.

It looks like gloopy, liquidy eye shadow!! xD

I can definitely see that my under eye area is brighter than it usually is. I think this golden collagen eye mask works quite well. I feel that my eyes look more awake!

And here's how I look after taking it off

I know the brightness of the picture has changed but I think you can agree that my eye area looks brighter and more awake. Absolutely no photoshop was involved in any of these pictures to cheat you into thinking shxt. Plus, I'm not promoting this brand nor was I asked to. I'm just doing it to share with you a product I think is good. :)

You can also use this product around your lips too!

I look like a happy Mexican, proud of my golden mustache. I'm not sure if there was a difference around my lips when I took it off, but overall, I felt my face looked more alive than it usually was.

I don't look exhausted without make up nows. YAYZ!

You can purchase this particular brand off www.shoppingholics.com or eBay 'Golden Collagen Eye Mask.' All the various brands are practically the same but I'm going to stick to this one because it's AZN. lol

Parrowguin?

It's been a while since I had written a dream blog. Lately because they haven't been that interesting or I just cannot remember them.
There was one particular thing in my dream last night that I clearly remember and I thought I'd draw it out because it looked so beautiful.
It was some kind of rainbow coloured fluffy parrot that had a body of an owl with penguin wings, and when it flew, it shrank and looked like a massive moth! xD
This was as close as I could get from what I remember..

I think I should draw out more things from my dreams to share with you guys..
